Growing up in a southern family of avid readers, writers, and storytellers, there was always a new book to borrow, a narrative to be critiqued, or a yarn to be spun.
I love dystopian tales, science fiction, and futuristic story worlds filled with mind-boggling what-ifs.
The End series idea planted itself in my mind one morning while getting ready for work. In the background, a nature documentary played on TV. The commentator explained how important was the need for endangered animals to have a safe, natural habitat in which to live. I wondered who might save us in the event humans become endangered.
Until then, I will continue to ponder the what-ifs and watch for the signs alerting me to begin stockpiling chocolate chip cookies, potato chips, and Earl Grey tea.
